For Radeon cards from AMD, you must select the OpenCL field, and for

NVIDIA, you can use either CUDA or OptiX. The CUDA option will

already add a huge boost to your renders, and for maximum speed, you

can enable OptiX. However, not all features from Cycles are compatible

with OptiX.

In any case, you should use the GPU if you have one available on the

computer used for render. Just remember that your scene must fit in the

VRAM space for processing. Otherwise, you will have to use the CPU

only.
